Fabrication--Quality Engineer

Our client is a small but well established metal finishing company with approvals from prominent organisations in the Aerospace industries. This client seeks a Quality Engineer to join their team. The role will involve; interpreting customer requirements and translating into clear working instructions to ensure they comply with the company’s business and quality standards. Advice and guidance will be available from the current Quality Manager, whose role you will replace after his retirement in September 2011. At that stage you will also take responsibility for the management, control and leadership of the quality team. The position therefore offers great opportunities for growth and people management will become an essential part of the role. Successful candidates must have experience of working in a Quality environment (ISO 9001 and AS9100) and the metal finishing industry. They must possess good communication skills, have excellent attention to detail, must be methodical, proactive, creative and very much a self starter. Must also be a problem solver and have an understanding of general business with strong customer focus as the role will involve direct contact/communication with their customers. NADCAP Aerospace is an advantage but not essential and experience of calibration and Health/Safety would also benefit. Minimum qualification HNC/HND.
