IMPT is dynamic, growing venture developing specialized cost effective coating process for the automotive and aerospace industries. We are seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician, a role that is essential to the development of the company’s technology. IMPT is a small company, and this position will allow to someone, at an early stage, to contribute towards the growth of the company along with developing a successful career.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is at an early stage in his or her career and has formal training in Engineering, Material Science and/or Chemistry. Experience in coating technology, electrical engineering, system design, automation and perhaps basic programming will be a real plus.
The candidate will be expected to look after samples provided by prospective customers, which require specific coatings, as well as maintaining the laboratory area and equipment. Furthermore, the candidate will also be involved in the development of coating processes and coating systems.
As IMPT is a small operation, some logistical experience will also be required, assisting in the basic operation of the office, assisting with proper documentation, etc will also be required. This is a challenging role for someone at an early stage in his or her career, and will allow access to most technical and engineering aspects of the company.
IMPT is located in the fast growing city of Nottingham, in the newly established BioCity complex. Nottingham is in close proximity to many of IMPTs potential customers. The BioCity complex is a well-appointed building with its own café, and is walking distance to the town centre. The building is well outfitted to handle engineering operations.
